Biography
That Same Rain is an anonymous cold pop solo project from Belgium, formed in summer 2026.
It was born from an irrepressible need to speak about one event in a life, and from a simple fact: music is the only language its author has ever been able to say things in. The songs poured out in two weekends, kept simple, direct and raw, as raw as the feeling that overwhelmed them.
Cold pop at heart, carried by darkwave drum machines, post-punk bass lines and orchestral swells of brass and strings, the songs move between a first love, a grey provincial school town, absence and regret, and the way rain can bring a face back to life.
A multi-instrumentalist, That Same Rain wrote, played, arranged and produced everything alone: guitars, bass and keys, with brass and strings written and programmed note by note. These are also the first songs its author has ever dared to sing. Fully self-produced, with no generative AI.
The videos, the artwork and the photos are made the same way, alone and by hand: a chance to finally try out visual ideas that had been waiting for years.
